    1. Acceptance of Terms

    Welcome to Dungeon Master's Forge. By accessing or using Dungeon Master's Forge ("DMF"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our services.

    2. Services Provided

    Dungeon Master's Forge offers users tools to generate non-player characters (NPCs), maps, monsters, and other tabletop role-playing game (TTRPG) content using AI-powered features and visual assets.

    3. Licensing

    3.1 Wizards of the Coast Licensing

    Content derived from or compatible with Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition (5e) is governed by the Open Game License (OGL) v1.0a and the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.

    • DMF does not include any Product Identity of Wizards of the Coast.
    • Open Game Content is clearly marked where applicable.
    3.2 User Content & Generated Output
    • AI-generated content (text or images) may be derived in part from OpenAI models and Stable Diffusion/other image generation systems.
    • Users may export, edit, and use generated content for personal use under all subscription tiers.
    • Only users subscribed to the "Dungeon Master" tier are granted rights to use generated content for commercial use, subject to licensing terms.
    • Users are responsible for verifying the suitability of generated content before use in any commercial product.

    4. Account & Usage

    4.1 Eligibility

    You must be at least 13 years old to use DMF. If you are under 18, you must have the permission of a parent or legal guardian.

    4.2 Gold System

    DMF uses a virtual currency called "gold" to access premium features.

    • All users, including Free tier users, receive a monthly gold allocation.
    • Monthly and bonus gold allocations vary by subscription tier.
    • Bonus gold (e.g., sign-up rewards) expires after 7 days unless otherwise stated.
    4.3 Refund Policy

    All purchases, including gold allocations and subscription fees, are non-refundable. Exceptions may be granted at the sole discretion of DMF for duplicate charges or proven technical issues.

    4.4 Expiration Policy

    Unused gold (including bonus or monthly allocations) may expire based on tier settings or promotional periods. Expired gold cannot be recovered or refunded.

    5. User Responsibilities

    By using DMF, you agree to:

    • Use generated content responsibly and ethically.
    • Not upload or input offensive, defamatory, or illegal material.
    • Not use the service to train, benchmark, or reverse-engineer AI systems.
    • Not resell the service or distribute the tool itself.

    6. Prohibited Uses

    You may not use Dungeon Master's Forge:

    • To infringe on intellectual property rights.
    • To generate or disseminate hateful, explicit, or illegal content.
    • To harass, abuse, or harm others, or for any fraudulent purposes.

    7. AI Disclaimers

    • DMF relies on third-party AI models (e.g., OpenAI, Stability AI) for content generation. While effort is made to produce high-quality content, we do not guarantee accuracy, legality, or appropriateness.
    • NPCs or images generated may contain artifacts, biases, or unintended content. Please review all outputs before public use.

    8. Intellectual Property

    • The underlying tools, code, and design of DMF remain the property of the site owner.
    • You retain ownership of characters and assets you create using the platform, except where limited by third-party content licenses (e.g., CC BY 4.0).
    • Commercial rights to generated content are limited to users with a valid Dungeon Master tier subscription.

    9. Third-Party Services

    DMF integrates third-party services for functionality:

    • OpenAI for AI-powered text generation
    • DALL·E/Stable Diffusion for images
    • Stripe for payment processing
    • MailerLite for communications
    • Supabase for storage and account services
    • Mixpanel (and/or similar, industry-standard tool) for web analytics

    DMF is not liable for outages, data loss, or errors caused by these services.

    10. Modifications & Termination

    We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms without compensation for future subscription or unspent platform currency.

    11. Limitation of Liability

    To the maximum extent permitted by law, DMF shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to lost profits, loss of data, or business interruption, arising from your use of the service.

    12. Indemnification

    You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless DMF and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

    13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

    These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the provincial or federal courts located in Ontario.

    14. Survivability

    Sections related to licensing, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification shall survive termination of your account or these Terms.
